For our purchase option, please click here. The CEM DT-128M is used for measuring the moisture content of materials. It has been widely constructed in cases of water, timber and soil, but also in certain metal manufacturing. A DT-128M measures the differences detected in a materials capacitance using high-range frequencies. The capacitance measured is directly correlated to moisture content, and gives readings in CM (content moisture). This meter comes with a manual that describes the different ranges of CM and what they indicate for different types of materials (drywall, concrete, wood). Non-contact Moisture Readings Simply placing the meter near the material, it can measure moisture content with a depth of 20-40mm. It outputs readings with a content moisture value system it will indicate whether it is dry, at risk or wet: Scale: <30 is dry, 30-60 at risk, >60 Wet Only 4 out of 7 Days Charged.
