Product detailsThe Groen EE40 Electric Kettle offers a capacity of 40 gallons and has stainless steel, self-contained design. The self jacketed unit operates from an electrically heated steam source that is contained inside. The kettle is made using type 316 stainless steel material and has a one-piece welded design that ensures long-lasting durability. Every exposed surface of the unit is made of stainless steel material. Each control on the unit is fitted inside the cabinet while a standard faucet mounting bracket comes pre-installed with the unit. #3 finish for extra resistance to corrosion, easy-to-clean and visually appealing.There is a 2" sanitary tangent drawoff that is fitted with a 316 stainless steel compression disk drain valve to help users disassemble the unit without using tools. The option of a larger 3" drawoff is available in this kettle. The drain outlet on the kettle is equipped with removable stainless steel 1/4" strainer with perforations. The unit has a one-piece, hinged dome cover that aids safe operation and effective functioning. The easy-to-reach controls include a pilot light, contactor, a thermostat, water level sight glass, pressure/vacuum gauge, low water cut-off, and safety valve.Groen EE40 has a self-contained steam source that provides the kettle with a temperature range from 150°F to 270°F. The thermostat automatically shuts off when water reaches the desired temperature and turns on when it drops down below the desired setting. To retain heat and keep the exterior cool to touch, the kettle has outer sheathing and an air insulating gap.
